Rescue solution for post hurricane flooding. The ALTREC Pod can operate as part of an all-terrain system as seen above (fitted with roll cage) or be deployed independently (below). The pods can be ganged together to create a barge when waiting for rescue by boat. Tow hooks on the front and rear allow the Pod to be towed by small boats increasing the amount of people current solutions can support.
The Pod is made of roto-molded plastic filled with foam making it a affordable solution in rescue situations. It can be folded for easier transportation or deployment by helicopter. The pontoon shape forces the boat into the open position when deployed in water. Seats convert to stretchers if needed and can be used as flotation devices.
